KDMC Amateur Radio Station Setup

Kings Daughters Medical Center Amateur Radio Station has been installed.  Equipment was received by KDMC for emergency communications that would be available for licensed radio operators to use to assist when needed.  This system include HF radio with G5RV antenna and also vhf/uhf base station with three hand held radios.  Station has been setup and will be used in training of hospital staff who want to get their amateur radio license.  Here a couple of pictures showing the temporary layout in the EMT Dispatcher Room.  Classes are being scheduled for hospital personnel to get them read to get on the air in April of this year.

We are also in the process of getting similar installation ordered and setup in McComb at the Southwest Regional Medical Center.  We will keep you posted on the status of this project.
